What causes scalp acne?

Hard water is one of the main culprits behind scalp acne. Tap water is loaded with minerals that can throw our skin’s oils off balance, leading to a build-up or oil or sebum. Hard water can also leave a lingering residue on your skin, further clogging pores. These clogged pores can in turn lead to acne.

What Can I Do About Scalp Acne?

The easiest way to battle scalp acne caused by hard water is to use filtered water. A Vitaclean showerhead uses microfibre cloths and ceramic balls to filter out rust, limescale and dirt, instantly purifying the water you’re showering in.
Our Vitamin C shots go a step further, helping to turn back the hands of time on damaged skin, scalp and hair by giving you a shot of essential vitamins and hydrating oils. Scalp acne, be gone!
